Camp MIKAL Sept. 19-21 2020 and SUCCESS CLUB
Sept. 22. Camp MIKAL starts with advanced registration at 1pm Saturday Sept. 19 and a Boot Camp system review session from 2pm to 5pm and ends Saturday with a welcome mixer in our Resource room from 5pm to 7pm.
Then you can Oktoberfest!
Sunday officially starts Camp MIKAL with registration and a hotel buffet breakfast at 8am and Camp Kick-Off at 9am. In the Kick-off we will cover the new SEVEN features and all new Marketing and E-Marketing strategies that will increase sales and build retention. 16 classes in multiple rooms all day with a hands on resource room and lots of personal attention. Get your questions answered and come up with a plan to MAX out your MIKAL Six or SEVEN system! At 5:30pm we will host a party “Stop Wine-ing and Eat Some Cheeze!” with tons of networking, awards, and conversation. Then it is Oktoberfest time!
Monday starts with a hotel breakfast and 8 more classes and breakout sessions from 9am to 1pm. There is a box lunch provided and our Resource room will be open till 2pm for hands on work and any final questions. Optional Success Club Tuesday! Newport Aquarium – Kings Island – Old Coney tons to do as a group or bring the family. The ZinZinnati Oktoberfest is the most authentic Oktoberfest in the country. The event will be in the Munich Oktoberfest style of large Fest Tents sponsored by our German Beer Breweries. Each tent will have food, beer and music. Rides and Games. There will also be continuous live German entertainment. Free admission. Largest Oktoberfest outside of Germany! Bring the family.

The MIKAL 3 day conference started Saturday at 2pm with a bonus 3 hour Boot Camp review for a great refresher or for new clients. After boot camp everyone enjoyed a meet and greet Saturday night. Sunday morning was the official Registration and group breakfast starting at 8am. Two classrooms hosted 16 classes, questions were answered - booking class, day end and reporting classes, inventory control, JITA and Loyalty classes, XrisXross and AutoPilot class, On-line Booking, all new EMBA, SEVEN class, and our hands on resource area. Winter Camp MIKAL 2019 Camp and 2018 Las Vegas! Tuscany Suites and Casino VEGAS! RECAP
WOW – our batteries were recharged this past week. A great group of owners, managers and receptionists met for 3 days in VEGAS! and shared amazing ideas and strategies on Staffing, Marketing, Inventory Control and so much more.
Let me recap a few of the highlights:
Loyalty points system is in place and working for about half the group. After the meeting I’ll bet (haha) everyone gets on the Client Loyalty bandwagon. BIG ideas included using the points to automatically reward rebookings, referrals, and retail purchases, rolling ALL of those marketing strategies into a self running client rewards program. Activating the points to show on the workticket, at point of sale, and on the client receipt.
Idea: make it a policy a NO SHOW loses their points!
Idea: delete all points at the end of the slowest month of each year and everyone will come in that month to use their points!
JITA is only be used by 20% of the attendees. I’ll wager (haha) after the meeting everyone goes home and sets up JITA – Just In Time Appointments. JITA users reported the option that fills the holes in the book automatically added ONE more Appointment per day per employee to the book! WOW
Surveys were a big topic. Everyone signed on to Survey Monkey and looked at Mikal’s 5 sample surveys and learned how to attach them to the Mikal Autopilot new client, reminder, and other automatic emails to get TONS of immediate feedback from clients.
IDEA: share the survey results in staff meetings.
